Burton’s MP Andrew Griffiths has commended Bellway Homes and site manager Simon Jones for winning the Pride in the Job Award for the Hydro development in the town.
The Pride in the Job Award, organised by the National House Building Council (NHBC), is the only UK-wide competition to recognise site managers who achieve the highest standards in house-building. It is the highest industry accolade a site manager can receive.
Andrew said: “Building homes to a high standard is really important and it was fantastic to hear of the award winning work that has taken place at the Hydro development in Burton. Huge congratulations to Simon Jones and the rest of his team at the Hydro site on Shobnall Road for all their hard work and for doing such a brilliant job in building these top quality new homes for families in Burton. NHBC Director of External Affairs Lewis Sidnick said: “This year there were 15,000 sites competing for this prestigious award which is always hotly contested by site managers from across the UK. NHBC is extremely proud of Pride in the Job, it rightly rewards the very best in the industry. Importantly, homeowners who buy a Pride in the Job award-winning home, benefit from a product of the highest quality.”
The NHBC Pride in the Job awards have been recognising excellence for over 35 years and the awards have been instrumental in driving up the quality of new homes.
NHBC is the leading warranty and insurance provider for new homes in the UK.
