Last week it was good to sit down with Uttoxeter farmers and other members of the local National Farmer’s Union for a couple of hours and discuss the challenges faced by British agriculture.
Farmers often can face a number of challenges in making their farms financially viable, including machinery costs and pressures supermarkets. Naturally, we discussed Brexit and what impact it will have on our nation’s farms and farmers. But while there are some difficulties that may bring there are also opportunities too and I continue to do all I can to to support our farmers as we go forward with leaving the EU.
It is important to remember that we need our farmers, and they need our support. The NFU have produced information on how you can support British Farmers and where buy to British produce, which can be found on their website by clicking here.
