Fun-loving residents in Tutbury turned to their own version of Tom Cruise in the film Cocktail to raise money for a local children’s charity.
Residents and friends from Crystal Court in Tutbury attended a cocktail event with a professional cocktail barman to raise money for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice in Trentham.
Donna Louise Children’s Hospice runs a hospice service in Staffordshire and South Cheshire to provide respite and end of life care for children with life threatening conditions. Their aim is to raise enough money to open all their beds for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The event was attended by local MP Andrew Griffiths and Mayor of East Staffordshire David Leese.
A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails were enjoyed by everyone and £1000 was raised for the hospice.
Andrew Griffiths said: “This was a great fun event which raised a great deal of money for a brilliant cause.”
