THE Burton branch of the RSPCA has unveiled its 2012 calendar—featuring photographs of pets which have been through the centre.
The animal home in Hillfield Lane, Stretton, has put the calendar on sale after it was officially launched by Burton MP Andrew Griffiths.
The pictures used in the calendar were taken by Len Milner, deputy mayor of East Staffordshire and borough councillor for Stretton.
“Councillor Milner was kind enough to take the photos and we managed to get them printed free of charge,” RSPCA branch chairman Stella Downs said.
“This is the first year we have produced our own calendar in Burton. The animals pictured have all been rehomed after coming to the centre.”
Mr Griffiths said: “Burton’s RSPCA centre is full to bursting with rescue animals desperately in need of new homes.
“The RSPCA relies entirely on local donations and, by buying the calendar, you are giving money to a wonderful cause.” “I have bought my copy and it will be adorning my office wall in Parliament for the next 12 months.”
The calendars cost £4.99 and are available by visiting the Hillfield Lane centre.
