Jee Ja Jee’s has played it’s part to raise money for a new CT scanner for Queen’s Hospital with a Charity Curry Night at their Horninglow Road restaurant. The event was attended by Burton MP, Andrew Griffiths, and Jim Morrison, Chief Executive of the Burton hospital.
Restaurant owner, Seyid Ahmet Orta, said:
“At Jee Ja Jee’s we wanted to do our bit to support this essential campaign and help Queen’s Hospital on their way to the £500,000 needed for the new scanner.”
The event was a great success and everyone had a wonderful time. £25 from each diner was donated by the restaurant and over £1,000 was raised for the good cause.
Andrew Griffiths said:
“I am staggered at the overwhelming support for this fundraising effort and the number of imaginative ideas that have been used to raise money. The food was excellent and it was good to know that I was doing a good turn for a worthy cause, just by stuffing myself with tasty curry. I want to congratulate the staff and management at Jee Ja Jee’s for all the hard work and effort that went in to making the event such a success.”
