Burton MP, Andrew Griffiths, has applauded the success of Hassan Ali Ahmed in retaining the crown of British Kick Boxing Champion. Hassan, or the ‘The Lion’ as he is known on the kick boxing circuit, is currently European kick boxing champion.

Andrew said:

“Everyone in Burton is incredibly proud of what Hassan has achieved. He is a dedicated sportsman and a fine example of a winner. Hassan has put Burton on the map. I look forward to The Lion becoming World Champion. He is a great athlete and a great ambassador for young people in the town”

Hassan won the British Kick Boxing Championship at Stratford upon Avon.

Hassan is 15, lives in Rangemore Street and attends the De Ferrers School.
